It is not broken ... Doni (that non-talking kid) have to show you the way in ... You can persuate him, or you can earn your right to enter by saving his friend on the beach ...  OR! If you are at least Dwarf or smaller, you can easily enter the same way robbing kid did.  That would be the crack right down behind the shop. 
I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings.  Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are!
