I just realised after talking to the keeper and killing the skeletons that the water is seemingly flowing *away* from the sea. In the grand scheme of things it's a nitpick, sure, but it's like noticing a boom mic hanging in shot on a film.

Depending on the elevation, would make sense if the stream goes into deeper caves? Possibly even the underdark river.

My impression from geography is it goes into the ocean though, so right now you've got saltwater flowing into the underdark. I don't claim to be the foremost authority on underdark geography but my escapades in Dwarf Fortress tell me that's a really bad thing, because it's going to (eventually) drain the seas and fill at least part of the underdark?

Water can hit pockets in the ground slowing/retaining the flow I guess. My underdark knowledge is not that deep, I did find this though. https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Glimmersea
