It would be nice to see the option to choose a god on ALL classes. This is Faerun, there are deep cosmological and metaphysical reasons why every character would have a particular god they look to more than others. And much as I would love to see a future in which the Wall of the Faithless is eliminated. That's not currently the situation.
Likewise, I would like to see an ability to pick specific warlock patrons.
I'd even be willing to see this as a Fill-in-the-Blank option to be honest. There are so many, and the ones I tend to prefer are often on the more obscure end (The Red Knight, Sharess...)
But a partial list of drop downs is just fine.
Like, for Warlock: Patron Fiend (small drop down listing named devils, demons, and daemons... perhaps a list of 6-9, 2-3 of each LE/NE/CE) or Patron Great Old One (list of 6-9 old-one types ranging from Dendar; the Chaos Hound; Moander and such to other less malevolent but just alien choices)...
that said, I'm not terribly convinced Dendar is malevolent... yeah, there's some hideously evil types worshipping/drawing power from it and it is said to be part of the end of existence, but being a functional part of the end of the world doesn't necessarily mean malevolence. If Dendar is just sort of hanging out until it's called up for it's job, that's not really malevolent. Big sleepy nightmare snek just enjoying vacation between it's job of clearing the board for the next universe.
