Blog updated. Story part 7 added. The end of this part is one of my favorites. I love the Gith Patrol the way we reworked it during our session playthrough. As you read it, this is basically how it played out via tabletop, legit dice rolls and all. MAN! It had me on the edge of my seat, and I had plans of how to maybe rez them all if they died. I wasn't sure my plans were going to be enough. Here's the link: https://baldursgate3theafflicted.blogspot.com/?m=1

Blog updated. Just updated Minthara to match Patch 6. So, Part 1 has her new description when she smiles at Ragzlin as the nautiloid arrives. Also replaced her image with new Patch 6 one. Here's the link: https://baldursgate3theafflicted.blogspot.com/?m=1

Blog updated. Story part 10 added. Here's the link: https://baldursgate3theafflicted.blogspot.com/?m=1This one contains the Hag fight and the Spider Matriarch fight. Brutal, but they were totally awesome to play out via Tabletop. I was on edge as I thought I was going to wind up killing all of the player characters and the game would be over. The Narrative version is a bit different from the Tabletop playthrough. It is mostly the same, but I decided to do a few tweaks because I thought it fit a bit better story-wise. One of my favorite sections in this part is when Wynari lays into Mayrina. Ah! It is like everything I wanted to say to her as well when I first played through this part of the video game. And the winner of the Worst-Mother-Award goes to?... Mayrina!!!

Per request, I'm working on change log now. It's on the blog and up to date through Part 4. It details major differences between the tabletop version and the narrative version I'm currently working on. https://baldursgate3theafflicted.blogspot.com/?m=1

Hoot hoot, stranger! Fairly new to CRPGs, but I tried my best to provide some feedback regardless! <3 Read it here: My Open Letter to Larian

I'm so glad you're enjoying the narrative version. I am making some major changes to the overall story as I go, but those are more future related. That's what made me start the change log. One of my other readers asked for it because they were reading the tabletop version, took a break from it, and now came back and started reading the narrative version instead. Then they noticed I said there were some changes.
Most of the changes I've done so far were fairly minor, but there are a few big ones because I learned more about the game; like Wynari telling the story about Aradin and his companions.
Anyway, I hope you continued to enjoy it.

Blog updated. Story part 13 added. Here's the link: https://baldursgate3theafflicted.blogspot.com/?m=1This has got to be one of my all-time favorite parts of the story. Entering the goblin camp, meeting Gut, Ragzlin and Minthara - as well as Spike, Abdirak, Gribbo - the whole part just makes me want to play the game again and again. It's so priceless - especially Minthara. Man! I wish it was just like this in the game.

Blog updated. Story part 14 added. Here's the link: https://baldursgate3theafflicted.blogspot.com/?m=1Nearing the end of book 1 at last. This is the epic climax; the fight between the Afflicted and their allies and Minthara and her goblin horde. Only 1 part remains after this one. Oh, I made some changes between versions. Minthara doesn't have just some pittance army at her disposal. I added way more to it. This isn't a Lord of the Rings Epic Battle of Helm's Deep or nothing, but it's definitely a lot bigger than the game's version. Hope you enjoy!

Blog updated. Story part 15 added. Here's the link: https://baldursgate3theafflicted.blogspot.com/?m=1It is finished at last. Book 1 is done. I am happy with it. If I write Book 2 (we'll see), I hope it will be just as good or better. Anyway, hope you all enjoy it. Note: I may or may not make changes to it based on changes to the game as they continue developing it. I may just leave it as is, a testament to the BG3 game from Patch 6 and all previous patches. We'll see. I guess it depends on just how drastic the changes are and whether I like them or not.

I really love your take on the Absolute in general. Even if you choose to make another edition (aka, change it a lot as BG3 changes), please keep them separate <3 Like edition 1, 2, 3 etc. Oh! And if you ever decide to do more, please send Google a letter about a dark background. WHITE DOCUMENTS BELONG TO THE PAAAAAAAST q _ q My poor eyes can't cope!

I've decided to go ahead and work on Book 2. 😏
Can't help myself.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It's a relief to know.
And yeah, I'm thinking I probably won't change it regardless of what Larian does. It's a Fan Fic, after all, and now that I'm moving on to Book 2, it'd be more work than it's worth.
Thanks again for reading! More to come. 😁. And I'll do what I can to fix the background.
