There's a joy in crafting your own traps, selecting the right trap for the right enemies, setting them up in advance, and waiting for enemies to step on them. Yet isnt oneshotting rogue still a thing?
Rogue two weapon fighting. First turn stealth, move, sneak attack, then bonus action for extra attack at lv 3? Thats a lot of damage on fist turn. If surprised mayby you get extra turn after first attack triggers, so one more attack if you win initiative.

Man I miss throwing daggers. I soloed final boss of c77 with them. And had lots of fun with that flaming returning dagger in pathfinder.
Infinite alchemist fire with no splash. Ranged fire damage like a cantrip. If we were missing a spelcaster from party and had to kill something like a troll or weird flrsh ooze that never dies unless by burning.
