The same thing happens to me, and has been happening for a while. My GPU and CPU temps are great, and in fact, my usage remains far lower than I'd expect.
GPU: 2080 Ti
CPU: 8700K
32GB RAM, NVMe SSD, more than adequate PSU (850w I believe).
It's incredibly frustrating.
