I want cambions! With the possibility of choosing origin from one of the Demon Lords. I want to play Graz'zt's child! smile
In total, the tieflings could also be, if a few most powerful Demon Lords were added to the choice of available ancestors, and among them Graz'zt.

That said, since Dragonborn and Half-Orc are PHB races, they will probably incorporate enough lore on those races into BG3. Dwarves, Elves and Halflings don't need much since they are so established and similar in generic fantasy everywhere. But even I don't know what the deal with the Dragonborn is even though I'm a D&D vet since AD&D because I haven't played 4e or 5e. Being a dragon humanoid does raise a lot of questions.

Couple of different origins. They were part of the "Points of Light" campaign that was in 4e which they decided to basically just abandon when they went to 5e.

(I really hate this, there was a place for Points of Light even if its cosmology was very different from the Great Wheel... but WotC wants everything in the same multiverse rather than letting them be separate... Eberron and MtG also feel like they should be separate really... the Great Wheel cosmology has Toril, Greyhawk, Athas, Krynn... Earth... there's plenty of room to just have a separate reality entirely for some of their IPs)

One theory is that they were intended to be servants to the true dragons but rebelled and became their own thing. There's another possible origin that is less "created as slaves" but I can't remember it off the top of my head.

Actually Dragonborn were a very late 3.5 race, but rather overlooked as they were introduced in one of the last books of that edition which did not sell very well I think.

I think Githzerai are lowkey confirmed due to that hand of a githzerai near the end of their LarPG Panel from Hell. Looking forward to them, I don't think we'd get a tease like that if they didn't mean to implement them. By that logic we could assume they confirmed the Celestials as well, since a ''head of an angel'' also appears in that shot. One can hope.

In the full release I'd love to see Aasimar, Vedalken and if they choose Eladrin to be in the game I also want the Shadar-Kai to be an option (although I'm worried they wouldn't really fit well with the facial expressions that every player character shares, Shadar-Kai aren't really known for their smiles ahd positive outlook on life)
If they choose to put the Aarakocra in the game, they better do it in the Early Access since that race is an unbalanced mess and there really should be playerbase input for them to turn out right. They're gonna be a fickle thing to balance due to them being able to fly over their opponents, gaining massive advantage. Ranger Aarakocra is a sight to behold laugh

On a tabletop, Aarakocra having flight doesn't concern me much... having a 50ft move speed concerns me a lot. Especially combined with anything like Rogue or Monk.

In this environment, I'm just not sure how they can make flight work. Otherwise, I'd ask for a winged tiefling variant.

I mean currently Wood Elves/Half-wood elves have Fleet of feet which gives 10.5 meters/ 35 feet movement per turn + the Crusher Ring increases that to 13.5 Meters/45 Feet per turn. On a rogue with Cunning Action Dash that is 90 feet per turn.

Imagine with an Aarakocra!!! 60 Feet per turn with Crusher ring/ 120 feet with Cunning Action Dash!

Zoom zoom zoom!

I'd like to see gnomes. Rock, Forest and Deep. +2 INT is nice for wizards. On top of that Rock get CON bonus and the other 2, DEX bonuses. Story wise Rock gnome are the "common" gnome and if you are thinking about crafting, these guys make interesting trinkets. Forest gnomes have more of a feel for mixing with druids. I see a lot of NPC interaction for deep gnomes as well.

Aasimar would be interesting since that would mean two voices in your head. (Not that that would get programmed in, sadly)

I too would love to see more Non-Human Hybrids.
Humans are boring and Half-Humans are only a step above them.

Giants, they break the geometrie of the game.
I want to be as high as 10meters and unbelivable stupid an strong.
Smash and trample everything including Houses, Towers, Fortresses, Forests, causing Tsunami waves on shores and whatever i please.
BG3 is totally the wrong game to do this frown

At least some race which can use those nice 2h-Weapons which aren't usable by humanoids. f.e. the Minotaurs club or those from the gourmant ogres and hopefully more to come into game.

Why disarming them and reduce their damage without having the chance to trash them with their own weaponsarsenal wink
esp. when im a Giant.
