What subclasses do you wanna see in BG3 (XGtE, EGtW and SCAG included) the most?

Going for my top 2 of each class... most of these I view as DLC potential.

Artificer (doubtful) - Alchemist and Artillerist (all Tasha)

Barbarian - Ancestor Guardian (Xanathar), Beast (Tasha)

Bard - Spirit (Van Richten's) and Sword (Xanathar)

Cleric - Twilight (Tasha's) and Forge (Xanathar)

Druid - Shepherd and Dream (Xanathar)

Fighter - Psionic Warrior (Tasha) and Samurai (both Xanathar)

Monk - Kensai (Xanathar) and Mercy (Tasha)

Paladin - Conquest (Xanathar) and Glory (Tasha)

Ranger - Horizon Walker and Monster Slayer (both Xanathar)

Rogue - Inquisitive (Xanathar) and SoulKnife (Tasha)

Sorcerer - Aberrant Mind (Tasha's) and Shadow (Xanathar)

Warlock - Undead (Van Richten's) and Celestial (Xanathar)

Wizard - War (Xanathar) and Scribe (Tasha)

For Third-Party Stuff

I'd like to see Kate Holden's Spiritbinder class. (It's a very Castlevania inspired class)

All of them. And I don't even know what most of them are supposed to be.

I just love me some solid character creation porn like in Pathfinder WoTR.
I'd want to drown in options, given the choice.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

I think they're just asking what are people's favorite subclasses... granted, I included put the psychic subclasses mostly because they mesh so well with the story.

Favorite is Conjuration Wizard.
But what do I want added, I will greedily echo the sentiment of All.

Ehhh, the DMG things are so very rough. I don't think the same effort into them that they did the others.

Aberrent Mind Sorcerer is so fitting for the setting of BG3. That's what I want the most.

Yeah, and my answer was basically "I have no idea".
I don't even know enough about subclasses in the 5th edition to suggest any. Only glimpses of what people say usually in these recurring topics (Hexblade, Champion, Samurai, some type of bard or sorcerer, etc).

What I know is that I don't care about something specifically. I just want to feel paralyzed by the sheer amount of choices when the time comes.

I'd love an option at some point to build my own subclass/class. It seems like this would be a good way to playtest stuff like that.

No worries, but, basically consider them a mix of 2nd ed kits and 3rd ed prestige classes.

Each subclass adds very distinct flavor which can make a character of the same class feel very different. We kinda see that already with how Shadowheart the trickery domain cleric is more of a backline cleric with Stealth effects and a dex statspread, whereas a traditional life cleric would be more frontline.

So honestly, all is the greediest thing and I wholeheartily support it. I want to experiment with so many subclasses.

I legit don't even know what most of the subclasses even are, but I know one of the people that I'm playing with in tabletop has a rogue that is able to summon psychic knives or whips to attack enemies up to 10m away for obviously psychic damage, which also has the effect of any sneak attack die from said attacks being considered magical psychic damage instead of slash/blunt/piercing. He is also able to teleport to a location based on where he is able to throw one of his psychic knives as a bonus action, and can link his mind with other party members and anyone else willing to communicate through thoughts. The latter lets him communicate with others without needing language proficiency, and has allowed us to communicate with people that otherwise can't speak.

This kind of stuff sounds like it's way up Larian's alley.

One of the origins is LITERALLY the thing that happens to us in the ship.

Also, this is why I included Psychic Warrior and Soulknife too. Very fitting subclasses for Fighter and Rogue.

Trickery cleric is very "battlefield Shenanigans" most iconic I've seen so far is Jester from Critical Role... though she's more literally "Trickery" and Shadowheart is more along the lines of "Darkness"/"Deception"

Hoping for 2-3 PHB-subclasses and 1-2 popular/thematically appropriate non-PHB subclasses for each class. Balanced approach between development resource management and satisfying player expectations and agency.

Psionic subclasses would make a lot of sense given the setting:
Psi Warrior for Fighters
Psionic Blade for Rogues
Aberrant Mind for Sorcerers

Other favorites would be:
College of Eloquence for Bards
Path of the Beast for Barbarians
Gloom Stalker for Ranger
Scout for Rogues
Divine Soul for Sorcerers
Hexblade for Warlocks
Bladesinging for Wizards

As much as Larian can cram into the full release and then some.
On a specific note:
Paladins - Oath of the Watchers path (which would make sense in this setting) and Oathbreakers
Clerics - Grave and War domains
Sorcerers - Aberrant Mind(is to be expected with a literal tadpole in our skulls) and Storm Sorcery path (which is a far fetch)
Fighter - Rune Knight
Ranger - Horizon Walker
