Dear Developers, Dear All,

Playing with patch 5, now that we have to eat regularly, I feel that my character is just carrying around a lots of food.
Now I am fine with that until we get back to the camp, but it would be cool if we could have some food storage at the camp, and just put the food there.

I tried with the Adventurers chest (I believe it is called) in the camp, but if i put all the food into there, the game does not recognise it, when we have to select camp supplies.
So as a first step it would be very nice if we could store food in there, and not have to carry it around with us all the time.

Maybe a quick action would also be nice, like: Store Camp supplies, and then all camp supplies would be put into the chest.

Furthermore, what would be even cooler is to have dedicated (historically accurate) food storing devices, that show more and more food in themselves as we pack more onto them.
One for meat, one for vegetables one for drinks, etc...
I think this would still be relatively easy to make (for you guys), and would add a lot to immersion.

Alternatively, this could be only in the main camp (at the river), and in minicamps, you can only eat what you have with you.
Or something similar.

I think this would also add to player quality of life, and immersion in the game.

+1

Since our main chest is turned into an Aureliano Segundo's travelling trunk and is present in all temp camp locations, it would be completely logical to automatically use the food / camp supplies from it during the long rest.

The only issue I see here is that the chest quickly becomes very cluttered. A separate supplies tab, maybe? Or better yet, a separate food storage.

What do you guys actually use the chest for?
I did not really found any actual use for it.
I sell the gear i gather, or do not need anymore, and nothing else to store there really.

Just curious smile

It's used for hoarding that's it, pick stuff up, send to camp, sell.

I pick up barrels and send them to camp, I also send all my gears to sell them in bulk. I send heavy food too.

For me it's mostly food, right now. However, I also put some stuff there which I probably will never use, but not inclined to sell straight away. Soul coins, the last Nautiloid tank (which I acquired before the latest hotfix), Shadowheart's chain shirt, gloves of Absolute...
Yeah, for hoarding I suppose.

The problem is, it's the only reliably accessible camp storage container, which is available at any camp site (afaik). If we would have 2 or 3 such chests, sorting stuff between them would make sense (even if always lands into one of them when you use "Send To Camp" option). The way it is now, however, this single chest just turns into a huge pigsty.

If friends join you get extra caches, when they are there they lock for them only but if they are not in your session they become yours until somebody take the session position. They are available at all camps too.
