I just had to share this - this actually happened and is true (which makes it even more interesting).

Day 1: Watching scary movie and see mouse run in back of my TV - scared me pretty good. Tried cornering it, but it gets a way. Run to my kitchen to try and get something to bag it with - the mouse runs directly into me while I am in the kitchen - scares me again. Mouse disappears somewhere else in my house amd I can't find it. Check a small section of wall I cut out a few months back where I heard mice crawling around in the wall. The taped section of wall is undone and about half way out of the wall. Trap was set off and no mouse to be found. I am assuming the mouse entered through here.

Day 2: Set 2 mouse traps loaded with cheese inside the house.

Day 3: Checked both traps - some cheese is missing from both traps - both traps did not go off! Get more cheese and place slices directly on where the trap mechanism goes off. Test both traps to make sure they are working properly by using a paperclip and attempt to move the cheese off of the traps. Both traps go off immediately at the slightest movement.

Day 4: Check both traps - all of the chesse is missing and both traps did not go off!!! Proceed into the kitchen and a dead mouse is waiting for me on the kitchen floor! WTF?!

Maybe the mouse died from spoiled cheese or from over eating?!

Gwen, a 2.5 year old female feral/stray. Long grey/black/brown fur. Green Manga eyes.

Litha, a 1 year old male kitten. Short orange/white fur. Eyes that camouflage with his fur.

Gwen hates Litha and often tries to gouge holes in him if he comes within a meter of her. It makes meal time interesting.

it's unbeleivable how that mouse can evade those traps and still get the baite!
