So, on the dialogue, I was pleased to discover that there were dialogue options for me to represent a standard githyanki attitude and also an option that could fit for one that was raised disconnected from the bulk of the species. Extremely unlikely circumstances, yeah, but that's a lot of the territory PCs exist in.
And then wandering around I get a line about "Vlakith guides me I must not disappoint her" or something similar while wandering the world... I think it was on waking up from the beach.
I wonder if it would be possible to set certain cultural statements like that on a filter where you have the option to turn them off or on. Maybe in the Appearance section near voice like so:
Internal Monologue
Background specific lines On/Off
Class Specific lines On/Off
Race Specific lines On/Off
I don't want the lines gone because they're a charming bit of characterization, just want them optional for people playing those fringe cases people like to play (self included)
Heck, you might even be able to access alternate race specific lines... like say an elf raised among humans having human-flavored lines or a human raised among dwarves (Cattie-Brie esque) using dwarven comments.
