Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General summoning a demon and curing the plague (spoiler!)

hey!

i'm in verdistis and currently performing the task set to me by corrinne the summoner. to increase my summoning skill, she want me to gather a summoning book, a wine, and a branch of darkwood. i already got the wine and the book, but i read a faq that buying the branch from mpezak(the exotic merchant) will negate the quest, is this true? if yes, where else could i look for one, besides going to the darkwood forest?

i have only found two cures for the plague(?) in the dr. elrath's basement. but there are three victims in the quarantined areas. i already gave tibus and the girl the cures but there's this one victim who yet to recieve the cure, where might i find it?

The only other branch is in the Dark Forest (you have to go there eventually, anyway).
You can Pickpocket (level 2) a cure potion back from one of the people you healed for the third, or kill one (no drop in reputation) so they drop the cure potion.

First : You have to go in the Dark Forrest to find the good branch of the talking tree.

Second : To get another cure, you can steel one, if you have pickpocket level 2, or you can kill a plague victim. I prefer the first solution !

i think i'll just gut tibus. he said his father would reward me if i gave him the cure, but his father, the high and mighty sir dante, didn't give me a penny for my all my days work.
