I am genuinely excited about the game, but disappointed with a few things: - level cap - there are a few things in the early access which are just about impossible, like surviving talking to the githyanki, and it seems a bit weird to include something that you can't get through, even if you've done everything else, and you've got the best equipment on offer
- restricted area - it's been a very long time since the game was first released as early access, and I was disappointed at how little content is available, and all this time later, while I appreciate the need to fix bugs first, there's still no more content available
- items out of reach - too many items are out of reach, and even if you climb onto 1 - 3 boxes, you still can't reach them, and I mentioned this many months ago but it is still the case
- limited party size - it would seem that having only 4 people in a party at any one time also makes certain encounters quite hard, and it also serves to limit the way I play it, because while I might be interested in playing with certain characters in my party, I cannot choose them without removing another, so I don't get to really experience those characters without going through the whole game again, and I personally find that a bit boring, because I have seen it all before, and as I said in the other point above, there's quite a limited amount of content available still
- map zoom and pan - I'm not sure if you've fixed this since my previous comments a long time ago, because it still seems like the map viewing isn't all that good, because it is a little too limited in zooming and panning, and there's also not much in the way of helping one orient which way you're facing unless it just happens to be obvious from the map ... in certain areas, it's very hard to tell which way I am actually facing on the map
- camera gets stuck between levels / altitude or around structures - this was a problem months ago, perhaps a little better now, but still needs a lot of improvement, when climbing up and down things, or moving around large structures, the camera can get stuck ... the camera should be considered an object able to pass through structures, so that while the view might be obscured, it doesn't ever get stuck
- fireplace under selune's temple - it is clear that the fireplace seems to be intended to move or something, and perhaps the bellows next to it is supposed to do something too, but after many attempts, I cannot see the purpose for it, and clicking on it does nothing, yet the cursor change does indicate something is supposed to happen, but no indication given as to whether I am somehow missing something, or is it just an undeveloped part of the early access that will do something later
- revealed objects - sometimes when a hidden or concealed object is revealed by perception checks, because of my camera angle and position, I cannot see what it is or was, and no matter how I zoom and pan the camera, I cannot find it ... I think there needs to be some kind of autofocus function which will turn you around to face the thing you just discovered, so that you can't accidentally lose it if you happen to move the camera at the same time, and then give back control of the camera AFTER the thing has been revealed
- save game disabled due to unfinished dialogue or something else - occasionally in the past, and it has happened once again now that I have played the latest patch, where some unknown action seems to be unfinished, and I am unable to do any quick saves or full saves, and there's no indication how to escape this bug by going back to the unfinished thing ... the only possible clue I had was that at one point when in camp and going to sleep, a message appeared too briefly to read, and all I could see of it before it was gone, was that it seemed to be saying "accept" or something similar, but very hard to get my eyes on it before it is gone ... so this bug remains, and that message may or may not be related, but it's the only thing I could think of which seemed to be going on at the time
- items changing who is holding it - I gave that magic book with the face on it to Gale, but it keeps returning to my main character without me doing anything
- better clues for workbench - you've put all these workbenches in the game, but aside from the sussur bark and a small number of weapons they can make, they don't seem to do much, it would be nice if you could do more with these things, like for example, disassembling an item to learn how to make more of them or something like that
- organisation of books, letters, notes etc - with all these books and notes we find in the game, it would be nice to have a better way of storing them, and if there was more things in them which reveal interesting clues or things to add to the game content, and a better way to search them for text
- will early access remember experience earned so I can play a character onwards later - given the time taken to go through all the content so far, and the annoyance of having to repeat things, it would be good to know that once we reach the level cap, that it is nonetheless recording our experience gained, so that when the level cap finally goes up, we haven't lost all that experience, and don't have to go through everything yet again with a new character, and this would allow me to go back to some combats I decided to avoid, given how hard it was to survive them ... but the downside here of the level cap is also that even if it does remember that experience instead of losing it, it's possible I might jump a level, and I don't get to experience being that level with that character, which already happens with characters not in my party
- no forum or FAQ article on version update beyond early access - it would be nice if you could put up something in the forum to keep us all updated on when we might be able to expect to see something beyond the early access, even if it's only an estimate and you have to keep updating it, because I really would like to see well beyond the maps currently available, and experience higher levels
- training - I think it would make the game more interesting if we had to find a trainer / master to actually access skills available at new levels, rather than just having these things assigned ... computer games often lack the depth of the paper and dice version, and there's nowhere near enough problem solving in the game, I prefer to be really mentally challenged
I think that's it for now, I will probably wait to see your replies and see some more content published before I play again, and I hope you will take my advice so that I can play the same character rather than going through the same content again.
