As soon as it was available, I added the DoS2 mod allowing larger parties - as far as I was concerned that was the only "must have" mod.
I expect to do the same with BG3 - hold off playing it until a mod allowing for 6 character parties is available, assuming Larian leaves it at 4 person as I anticipate.
that's really cool of you!. how hard is it to mod on battle re-balance? like adding more and different monster to a said encounter?
To each his own - my personal and professional life is such that I am lucky to get a handful of hours a week for game play - I don't have time to play a game over and over. I'd prefer to see the added content I can obtain with a larger party during my sole run through. I can always increase and tweak settings to balance out the difficulty as needed. And as I am more interested in the content, plot line, characterization and such than I am at beating the game at the highest difficulty level with a single character in the fastest time possible, that provides me what I seek.
As for how hard it is to mod, I couldn't tell you - I'm no programmer - I let my teenage daughter program my phone, and my wife sets up my PC.
