- level cap - there are a few things in the early access which are just about impossible, like surviving talking to the githyanki, and it seems a bit weird to include something that you can't get through, even if you've done everything else, and you've got the best equipment on offer
We should be able to test level 5 simply because of the massive power jump it brings. It should be valuable information for Larian. Even the Githyanki are quite killable already at level 4, but level 5 would likely make all EA encounters a cakewalk. They might have to add some more enemies to an encounter for a level 5 party to keep it challenging. Or they have to reduce the amount of XP available so they can better control when we reach level 5.
restricted area - it's been a very long time since the game was first released as early access, and I was disappointed at how little content is available, and all this time later, while I appreciate the need to fix bugs first, there's still no more content available After you get new areas and plot to explore, you will still be left wanting more again. Until you have the full game. So I'm cool with them not releasing more areas and story. What IS needed though is more gameplay content. The remaining classes, subclasses, spells, armor and customization options. If we had more character building options and level 5, the game would be quite replayable again without spoiling any more story.
training - I think it would make the game more interesting if we had to find a trainer / master to actually access skills available at new levels, rather than just having these things assigned ... computer games often lack the depth of the paper and dice version, and there's nowhere near enough problem solving in the game, I prefer to be really mentally challenged I also want to be challenged as a player but not by trainers. I want meaningful Long Rest restrictions and resource management. Having to go somewhere specific to level up isn't a challenge, it's just a boring delay.
