As for Halsin, he just doesn't make sense as a companion because he's an Archdruid.
As Avallonkao corectly pointed out on first Page, he is not an "Archdruid". That is just title people on forum gave him for some unknown reason. He introduced himself as "First druid of the Emerald Grove" ...
