After finding the Letter to Kagha, avoiding a direct confrontation with her, and then rescuing Halsin and saving the Grove, there seems to be no option of exposing Kagha to a returned Halsin. Surely my insufferably good character would want to mention possible treachery among the ranks?

Kagha is a deliciously irritating figure to me and I would love to see some comeuppance.

I want to feed her to the bears and the wolf.

You must confront her in order to tell Halsin about her treachery.
I hope, that there will be a follow up to the whole shadow druid plot. I mean, Kaghas apology to Halsin is really insincere, so I'm pretty sure, that this wasn't all.

I suspected as much, though to me it would be so juicy to go behind her back and raise the matter first with Halsin present

It could get implemented in the finished game, who knows?

Honestly, this particular quest line has so much wasted potential ... that the opportunity to pass a letter to Halsin when he already knows exactly all the crimes Kagha has committed is easily lost in it.

If you hold off, you can find more evidence in the swamp near where the hag has her place and then you can convince Kagha to turn away from the Shadow Druids and join your side and she is horrified at what she was doing.

I kinda would like to have the option of having either her or Halsin as recruitable druid. Maybe have the option of her coming with you as a redemption/atonement situation if you manage that.

To be honest... I'd love to have two to three characters of every class capable of being recruited so you could get various flavors of party based on what you want to play. I mean, I love Shadowheart, but I gather there are some that would appreciate being able to have a different cleric available for recruitment.

And then her and that snake would be romanceable.....

The snake has a better personality...

That said, I am a sucker for a redemption arc... and have a mean streak so part of my thought for this is "I want to make sure the Karen actually follows through on self-correcting her path"... which admittedly is part of my wishful thinking that every person would be take the opportunity to become nicer versions of themselves... but if someone wants to romance that?? okay... I guess....
