He's a chaotic evil murder-hobo. They're always going to be the most difficult kind of character to make believable, and I think a Vampire Spawn whose only reprieve came from being a Mind-Flayer experiment is a good enough way to approach it. He's like Gollum except his ring is a tadpole, and he can lie in complete sentences.
