I was trying to sneak inside of the temple at the goblin camp. I came across a breakable wall to get into the temple but The wall is next to 2 sleeping goblins. So my plan was to place the silence spell around the cracked wall and blow it up thinking the silence would stop the noise from waking the goblins. Unfortunately this doesn't work and they woke up. So I thought what if I placed the silence on the goblins instead of the wall. I tried it and that also failed.
The silence spell doesnt stop the goblins from waking up when I attack the wall.
I then placed the silence spell on the goblins and attacked the goblins inside to see if it would alert a group of sleeping bugbears. The bug bears woke up even through logically they couldn't have been alerted because they where asleep and the sound was silenced.
I think the spell should work in this situation. Unless the spell only silences voices.
I have only tried the silence spell in this situation.b
