I am not sure if I would want the box edition. When BG II came out, the box was the only option. I still have those original disks, with their intoxicating chemical aroma. There must have been some sort of perfume in the ink ... BioWare could have put that in a bottle and it would have been competition for "Obsession". I do like the idea of owning the software on a disk, and having a printed manual, rather than relying on cloud storage and internet connections. But then there is the issue of numerous game updates, so you end up downloading GB-sized patches online over and over. Ugh, I do not like that at all, but everyone seems to accept that as normal now because Microsoft does it. I'd still be happy with WIN XP except that web browsers don't support it anymore. I guess it is the "benefit" of Agile software development philosophy ... there is no defined end to it, ever, sort of like a D&D deity which has a lot of followers for a while, but then gradually fades to just a small fanatic cult, and then from there it recedes into the annals of history.
