Good points! I guess a bunch of "Wall of Stone" spells could be used to make a tower ... not something we'd probably ever see in BG III. The skill enhancement is a good one, so I guess it could give powers like a Ring of Frenzied Wizardry, or Gauntlets of the Octopus, etc. with variable effects depending on your class and level.
You know, when I think about this list of powers and effects (mind influence, scrying, create fear, be invisible, eternal un-life, addictive behavior, raise an army) ... it kind of sounds like the stuff you can do on the internet. Yesterday's magic is today's technology I guess.
