1- freeze doesn't work on certain monsters if your freeze level is too low.
2- if you are too week to kill all the monsters, kill most of them and use the shadow potion to escape.
Open the 4 tombs, and then run to the 2 other ones. You can just open one of them.
3- To identifie an item you have the skill "identify". Some merchant can identify or repair your stuff.
