I like CRPGs in general so of course I have also bought WotR.

What I REALLY like in WotR is the "compendium" with hyperlinks and tons of explanations. While not 100% perfect, it serves to explain the game and it's concepts to players. To be honest, as a non-tabletop-player. I learned in the WotR-"wiki" a lot of what I needed to know to play BG3 effectively.

And, while we're at it: there is a problem with German (my native language) translation:

As I have never played dice based games before I was confused because in some places "1W4" is used ("W" for "Würfel" which means "dice" in German), in other places it is "1d8", so I wondered for a while if those are different things, until I accepted the fact that this is a translation error.

I think many people would welcome a compendium, glossary or other information database that will help non-D&D players and veterans alike get to grips with the nuances of BG3, especially where it chooses to diverge from expectations.

In terms of the translation, there is no difference - it's just a short-hand way of say how many dice, of which size, are being spoken about. If, in the german, the word for 'dice' begins with a W, then it may well be written as 1w4 instead of 1d4, as it would be in english... in cases where the letter changes, assume a simple translation slip; they mean the same thing.

Yes, that was what I found out, too... but it was still confusing at first, because I didn't know much about dice based RPGs and I wondered for a while if this meant two different concepts.
