Think that's the point, friend. Yeah, I assume so. I just wish people would try to do it on their shitty fanfiction blog rather than here. Agreed. I understand some ppl like her (I find her voice extremely irritating). I've read enough about drow society to know, that if you are male, you don't want to go there... EVER... Again, though, this is getting beyond the realm of liking her character and becoming an obsession for some.

Not getting her or a some other drow companion in general would be a shame.

UPDATE Patch 5 Minthara I have not seen it in the game in the new patch, only on screenshots. It looks terrible, she was much more suited to the blue suit and the old model and hairstyle. What have you done with Minthara and why?

I didn't think I'd like her new look, but I did. When she talks to Sazza, she's creepier to me with the new look. Of the three villains in EA, she's the best. Gut's ok, and so is Ragzlin, but Minthara is much more evil. I actually want them to do more with her as a villain. I feel like she has so much more potential, but she's almost like Phasma in the new SW movies. She COULD be awesome, but they don't give her enough screentime.
Well, that's true for all the villains in EA. I would love to see Minthara feeding victims to her spiders as you come to meet her. I'd like to see Ragzlin doing something more than trying to interrogate a mind flayer corpse. And Gut... yeah... she's just... she needs a lot more evil infused in her to make me like her as a villain. She's almost like a mean lunch lady who might swat you on the wrists if you misbehave.
These are bad guys. Let's see some real bad stuff. The Loviatar priest seemed more evil than Ragzlin and Gut combined, and about as evil as Minthara.

I see little difference. She still looks like a 45 year old Emma Watson with purple skin to me.

It's really the white eyelashes more than the hair change for me.
It only looks like it's her makeup, because of the resolution. What's happening is that our eye concentrates on the negative space between the lashes, which inverts the impression and makes it look like she's wearing white eyeliner (but still has black spidereye lashes), rather than just seeing that they are in-fact white eyeslashes lol.
Her eyeshadow and underbrow is still dark, so it looks like we're seeing rough outlines when we're meant to see the opposite thing going on. But we are so used to seeing dark lashes that our brain fills in the gaps backwards, and it just ends up looking pixelated or badly rendered or something.
When its zoomed in close it looks better, but usually we're zoomed out too far to see, so our eyes play tricks.
It's just poorly drawn out right now for the lashes. They should revert to the old dark lashes, or else clean em up a lot more, just so it's not that stark. It totally jumped out at me right away. It even displays on the portrait for the custom PC if they choose the same color for their own hair. Took me forever to figure out why it looked so off. I'm no Sephora specialist, middle aged dude that I am haha, but I'm pretty sure that's what's going on. At least for the eyes. Blonde or even Albino lashes would look a lot more translucent than this, even set against a darker skintone or eyeshadow, so even a fantasy 'Natural Green' or 'Natural Pink' hair/brow/eyelash color should be much more subtle than this. They probably just need to turn the hair opacity way down for it to carry better with those colors.
Otherwise I still think the Purple outfit suited her better. Her old hair seemed a bit more 80s rocker to me too, which I liked, but the new cut is cool as well. I think perhaps they wanted to give her a unique hairstyle, the way Kagha has a different hairdo to set her apart. But I thought there was some character there in the ratty Minthara tangles, that sort of goes away with this new more carefully couffed trim. She feels less hardcore to me now, but it's whatever. Their character I suppose, I just think they had a better direction initially.
I did tend to avoid that hair for female PCs, because it was clearly Minthara's haircut, so maybe by changing her hairstyle it makes that original wildling hairdo more versatile for the custom PC in some way? But I still liked the first trim better for her character.
There is also a general issue with artifacts in pretty much every haircut I've seen. Not just the clipping through the ears type stuff, but jpeggery around the individal strands of hair. Its especially noticeable with white, but it's there for just about every haircut that isn't pretty dark in color. You can see it especially in the longer styles, or with bouncing ponys and such. I'm sure they'll clean it up eventually, but right now there are several cuts I avoid for the custom PC just because they look too digital in the rendering even at the highest resolution. Otherwise this game has done a very good job of making hair that doesn't look terrible, but it would be nice to see a little more finish there to clean everything up.
In representational drawing and painting, the first thing they teach you is NOT to draw individual strands of hair initially, but to start with the larger masses of shapes and shadow. Saving the individual strands for flair or accents at the end. I think the same applies here to the digital modelling, where they went a little overboard drawing out strands. They need to mask it off a bit and soften things up somehow, so we don't get those little jagged breaks like digital split ends all over the place lol.
But yeah, right now Drow eyelashes are really rough since patch 5. They need to fix that. The same thing happens if you want light pink or light blue or whatever color hair, it looks super bizarro around the eyes with the lash matching in lighter colors. It's also inconsistent, since some of the available hair color choices will alter the look of the lashes or the brows or both, while others won't change them at all. Minthara's default hair color just happens to be one of those whites that now alters both the lashes and the middle brows, which looks pretty eck from any distance other than the Ulta ultra zoom. But we hardly ever see that view, even in the close up cinematics.

What do you think of this gorgeous Drow?
Did she remind you of Viconia? (if you played the Baldurs Gate 2) As simple as my Answer is - > Yes. Since both of them are Drow Women - i thought of Viconia from Baldurs Gate II. At least when bringing Minthara up in this Forum. If they keep it as authentic as they did in Baldurs Gate II, then a possible Relationship-Storyline with her will most likely be same as difficult to manage like with Viconia. Probably harder, considering how the Relationship "starts" ... ... Well everything and everyone goes, right? We have a Tsundere-VampireBro (lol!), a romantic Stallion of a Mage who is even Buddy-Buddy with the Goddess of Magic, a probably Demigod-Edgelord Cleric, (lol) a Warlock who is HORRIBLE in hiding that he is a Warlock, why not a "YANDERE-Girlfriend" who might slit your Throat when you look at another Woman the wrong Way? Gotta spice it up "with the DANGER" in Choice for Comrades.

I honestly don't think the hair is that bad. It's the whole outfit and makeup that ruin the look for me. I want to see something more like this when you first see her in the goblin lair:
Minthara was cloaked in shadow. There were a few torches and braziers around to provide light, but her desk was not near any of these. She purposely liked to sit in the shadows. It was intimidating to her underlings. She sat with arms folded and a look of quiet contemplation on her face as she listened to the reports she was receiving. She was a five foot seven Drow with a feminine physique hidden under a suit of black, custom plate mail armor. Though custom made, it was not form fitting. Minthara preferred what was practical over what was fashionable. She was not, like many, concerned with appearances. Form-fitting armor left little room between the person and the weapon coming at them. The armor was, however, made for an individual who was more slight of build as opposed to big and bulky. It was sleek and smooth to prevent the wearer from getting caught on anything. There were countless overlapping, shifting plates which provided her with flexibility and mobility. Each plate had a dark purple trim so that it appeared as if the suit was made of amethyst spider webs and not metal at all. And the armor was dull. Minthara did not like shiny. She preferred the dark metal to vanish in the shadows, not reflect every ray of light. The purple trim was the only thing that appeared when light touched it, and this only IF Minthara willed it. The trim, when activated, created the illusion that some sort of white webbing was shifting and moving around in the darkness; something enemies usually tried to avoid. Webs ensnared, after all.
At the center of the breastplate, there was the symbol of the Absolute. It was a slightly raised skull jutting out of an upside down triangle with a bloody handprint on its cranium. Like the rest of the armor, it did not shine. However, since it was overlaid with silver, it did stand out. This was something Minthara both loved and hated. She wanted all to see the Absolute and recognize her symbol. However, in combat, she wanted nothing to reveal her location. This was why Minthara also had a black cloak with dark purple trim. She was not wearing it at that time, but the cloak was hanging on a peg near her. If she wanted to hide her armor and hair, so a person couldn’t even see the white or the symbol of the Absolute, she would throw the cloak over herself and vanish. If her enemies knew where she was, she would throw off her cloak so that it didn’t hinder her or get caught on anything.
Minthara had short, white hair and a black, web-like tattoo on the left side of her neck. The web looked almost like an “A” with a pentagram overlapping the top of it. The base of the pentagram was the crossbar of the “A”. The lines of the tattoo were curved inward, not straight, which gave it the web-like appearance. Her red eyes shone brightly in the dim light, surrounded by patches of darkness. It was almost as if her eyes floated amidst black pools. Her bangs fell on both sides of her face, almost like spider legs, and the remainder of her straight hair was feathered back behind her pointed ears. On her left hip, she wore a mace with a gold cap on the end of the handle. The grip was of leather with a gold band in the center and at the opposite end. The weapon was clearly imbued with magic, for there were runes etched into it, and the symbol of the Absolute. Near her, resting against her desk, was a curved shield; also magical. The symbol of the Absolute was as large as life on its black, dull metal surface.

I honestly don't see why people think she looks like a grandma now. I like what I'm seeing initially as far as appearance is concerned, but I think I'm going to wait to determine whether or not I really like the new appearance until I get to the part where I talk to her face to face. That's where she shines most, in the scene with saza. In patch 4, she gave me the creeps when she said, "oh Sazza!"and her face was all dark and sinister.
The only problem I have with her right now is that they gave her leather armor. I haven't checked what the stat is for that exactly, so if that draw leather is like armor class 15 plus, then I'm good with that. But if she's wearing armor that is only 11 plus, that's just dumb.

Except he is not high rank Drow ... :-/ I have read somewhere that tatoo on her neck marks her not as member of important family, but as a property of important family ... meaning she was probably even slave.
