I encountered a strange bug during the encounter fighting Auntie Ethel. The conditions are:
1) a character must sneak in alone to the Ancient Abode
2) the character fails a hiding check while trying to head to the Control Orb and enters combat with Auntie Ethel
3) the character gets a higher initiative roll than Ethel (e.g. Mayrina - 18, you - 15, Ethel - 7, the condition is that you have a higher initiative than Ethel even if Mayrina wins the roll)
4) You use your first turn to operate the control orb and lower the cage to release Mayrina.
Under these (admittedly rare but not impossible) circumstances, Auntie Ethel will not do anything on her turn; she will blow through the turn "Plotting next move" and wind up doing nothing, allowing the player's group to attack her unopposed. The near-death encounter where she offers your group power still triggers in the right place, but if you decide to keep attacking, she will continue to do nothing on her turns until she is dead. Mayrina will also behave normally after the fight, getting upset at you for killing Ethel.
Luckily, I had a quicksave right before I attempted to sneak up to the control orb so I decided to test this save to see if I could reproduce the issue, and I was able to successfully reproduce the issue three times.
