Well,
I thought so and found some threads regarding this but none were really "big". That really frustrates me. Graphics and combat are really important but i think the conversations in an RPG are the most essential part since they more or less control how the game unfolds.
When i create a character i usually have an idea how he thinks and behaves and so reacts to the NPCs and the NPCs to him. I don't really want to have that ruined by a game mechanic.
Haveing the "stupidly arrogant" Gith warrior lead the conversation with no chance to use the possibilities and traits my main has is really bad imo.
And since the group has more or less an aligned goal i would love to have them treated as one character regarding conversations. That way everyone can add his/her mustard like the player wants.
OR to just have the main character lead the conversations (maybe with the others inserting their own opinion)
A general question would be:
Are we roleplaying the main character or the group of characters?
It seems in the finished game you can also choose one of the existing chars without creating your own. That would lead to us "beeing" just the one character.
I want to role play one character and the companions to have their own personnalities and goal and thinking about what to say in conversations and so on.
It could be cool if they interracted a bit more, but to react and not to lead the conversation.
As Icelyn I'd like very much if the pc started all conversations BUT... Why would the other let me speak for themselves ? It's not like if they were following
ME for any specific reasons... Tav is just a random, why would he lead ?
