Reading that i am glad that more people feel like i do.

Personally i see the character i create (or choose at the beginning) as me. But mainly we have to go with what larian wants for their game. Which is ok.

Only the way it is not is WAY too static during NPC conversations.

Reagarding the question why our creates char would lead, well, all of them are more or less in the same situation and have the same rights. The character creation is only there so that you can either play one of the pre-created and scripted chars, or make your own. That's my guess at least since the options for the character
backgrounds of the "others" is just not available.

I really hope they tweak this a bit, having the party talk "as one" would not only make the choice of conversation way more flexible, it would also make them flow much smoother. Same would go for trading. why does everyone get different prices? All four a buying so why not get a middle?

Anther thing would be certain answers in certain conversations. Especially if you create your char as a "good" one but have a conversation you want to steer in another direction. Each of the chars would have a unique answer in a conversation. As player you would be able to let one of your companions make the conversation go
"evil" without breaking the role of your char. That would just impact the standing between the party members.

i would totally LOVE that.
