Hey, just checking in with the bugs I found in patch 6 as well as performance issues.
First up is the gnoll fight where you rescue some zhent traders. Here the guy you talk with after the fight registers the gnolls as allies for some reason, and asks me if I have seen the assailant. You can lie or pay your way out, but it's still really weird.
Next up is Gale who I have been having trouble with since patch 4. I still cant see any of his cutscenes no matter the approval rating. He just acts as if I have given him magic to absorb at the party, and after he rushes me, telling me that I need to give him magic items.
Next up is the trade bug. If I'm in the trade menu I cannot split stacks, and if I go into a companions menu to split a stack there, the game just crashes.
Up now is the supplies bug. Here the supplies counter next to the inspiration and gold counter says that I have no less than 4294967257 supplies, despite me having none in my current inventory. It later states that I have 0, despite my chest in camp being stock full of supplies, so it wasn't counting those. Might I take this chance to advertise being able to use supplies stored in the chest when resting. It would make the player have to run less back and forth.
Up next is the dice bug. Shadowheart ran around with a d20 floating over her head for quite a while after rolling a save. Not the worst, it was just a little distracting.
Up now is the 'outside range' bug. The game consistently treated things within range of Astarion's hand crossbow as outside his range, despite the game clearly showing that the target was in fact withing range with the range circle thing.
Now for the romance bug. I was romancing Shadowheart, and Tav would say things like 'always by your side' when approaching her, which was sweet, except for that fact that tav said the same thing on occasion when I talked to other companions. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be romance only, yes?
Next up is the mushroom bug, which is more or less two bugs in one. I'm here talking of the mushrooms you can jump on to get to the magical teleporting mushroom circle at the top of the cliff. Firstly there was a mushroom that I just could not jump to, no matter the angle and strength of the character jumping until I reloaded an earlier save. I also fell at on point, which was fine, but I immediately got permanently stuck inside the cliff, and had to reload a save.
On the note of mushrooms, I don't know why but I suddenly cannot use any characters with a strength level of less than 18 to jump around on the mushrooms to get to the tower garden in the underdark. Any other character will just just to their death. Before I had an archer style fighter as my character, who only had a strength of 14 who could do the jumping, but now it just seems that you need a potion of Bull's strength or Lae'zel in your party to even have the option of exploring.
Speaking of the tower, I had issues with targeting the turrets. I just couldn't sometimes. Other times I could.
There was also issues with things like dash or action surge, where you have to click on the character using the action to activate it. It just didn't register that I had clicked much of the time.
Now is the second biggest issue for my patch 6 playthrough, where the camera and see through mechanics have just been my enemies. The camera would consistently just refuse to show the upper floors so I could get up there, and it would often get stuck if a character was close to a wall or just inside. The see through mechanic would sometimes just erase doors so I couldn't click on them if I had characters on both sides, which I sometimes did when Astarion snuck ahead or when Lae'zel used her strength to jump ahead. This meant that I could not open the door, and was stuck. The characters didn't even have to be near the door, so moving them did nothing.
My biggest issue is the Grimforge which I just could not play. Granted, my PC is not the top of the market, but it's fine. I could play the first part of the game fine with little lag on normal graphics, but as soon as I got to the Grimforge the lag just began in full force, making the game completely unplayable, even on very low graphics. As such I have been unable to actually play most of patch 6. Before this patch I could play the entire game on ultra to high, and I expected to have to lower the settings after the new improvements, but to be completely unable to play the new part actually really really sucked.
