Hello all, I am glad to be part of a community platform for one of my favorite game studios! This is my first post and it will be a simple one. I tend to be direct, to the point and I like to discuss things like the civilized people we are.
Now that I have introduced my self briefly, on to the post.
The game is amazing. Good work Employees and leaders of Larian Studios. I can't wait for the finished product. I am 95 hours I am still discovering stuff... this world is so good... I can't wait to see the other areas.
I love the creepy atmosphere of the hag's bog so I am patiently waiting to see what the shadowlands will look like. Being in early access for a while now has piqued my interests in making the game more challenging.
My initial thought was ok lets do a solo run because its harder with no party or healer. While it is Baldur's Gate it still feels like a lot like a Larian game but to my surprise the game does not like it if you try to solo.
By solo I mean not interacting with any of the companions. I was able to get to grymforge without anyone in my party or camp by skipping the goblin camp but once you get to the goblin camp, your game starts to get finicky.
The cutscene when shadowheart's stolen artifact saves you from the voice calling to you trips the game up because shadowheart (or anyone) is not in your party/camp.
Refusing her to join still will be ok and the game seems to play fine but once you get to any vendor to sell something or switch things around in your inventory the game just closes on you. And in all my 95 hours, this was the first time I seen this issue.
I could be wrong but I am guessing the game is not okay with having my party and camp empty. It is Baldur's Gate 3, right? Would you be ok with being able to have solo playthroughs in Baldur's Gate 3 like Larian Studios did with their previous titles?
