It's vice versa for me. Underdark is my favorite location in the game to visit. The landscape is gorgeous: giant luminescent mushrooms everywhere, vast cave expanses, the coolest settlement in game currently. I'd prefer the Underdark to stay the way it is right now. Underleveled monsers are a recurring theme throughout the game. Considering how epic-scaled some of the characters' backstories are, the level system in BG3 seems to be an abstraction. We are already incredibly powerful as of level 1, the game hints at this constantly. It might not be completely in line with the 5e rules, but I personally don't care about that, being a long time tabletop player. In 5e, rules are less important than in any of the previous editions, and it's by design.
