If the game plans to escape from the battlefield in this section of the path for most players, then it is worth adding references to this in the game
I'm not sure exactly what you're saying, but for sure your campions are really, really clear about not fighting them. I think I recall ending that peacefully once, but a long time ago so I forget the exact dialog choices.
