if I read the game data correctly, the "wisest choice" would be to make a shield and a longsword, since the helm is looted, it gives you a character that nerf the enemy no matter what

modding is what I do, I can't play a game, I'd rather play with the game
the githianki boots and gloves are in the game, the models only for now, the hardest part is done ^^
I should look at the plate armor to see if it mixes well with the metallic gloves and boots
[edit from the future]
I checked with various armors, and I found that even the base plate armor is way too fancy for those crude gauntlets. others are :
- chain mail : it goes kind of ok with the +2 version, the others don't have enough plate
- splint : it don't go well, the gloves are too smooth
- ring mail : it was obvious but I had to try, too smooth for this one too
- breast plate : the plate is a bit too ornate for it to be a good fit, the rest is way too leathery
- half plate : it's a nice fit with the base version, the +1 works well too but both have some nasty clipping (+2 version disappeared)

note that the half plate went through a certain number of iterations, it is slowly improving and since it is meant to be the best medium armor, it is understandable that they are taking their time.

the magic gloves model pairs nicely with the +2 studded leather armor, the feather fall boots kinda don't...
the full drow set is in too, I don't know if you can loot it from minthara now but it is definitely in

in 5e, there is little progression, there is no way you could get there legitimately (30 is already pretty high even for a lvl20 character) and that was exactly my point, by only adding those flat bonuses, I got to ridiculous values but my game isn't exactly 20AC points worth more fun. creating a spell that allows me to conjure crates, THAT was fun, stacking is all fun and games until a dumb character tries to follow and breaks the first on the floor...

Its strong artefact, no doubt about it ... almost ridiculously strong ...

But again, if you give that to Lae'zel who is battlemaster, you only get one cast per long rest ... quite strong cast, and guaratnted hit cast ... but still just one, unable to crit, and honestly in many cases weaker than your other abilities ...
And switching it in battle costs Action. laugh
I would argue that you could leave it to her and count it in your arsenal for when this longsword of her isn't long enough but I guess that she also can carry a bow and switch at no cost... adding magic to martial characters is usually nice

I stand by what I said, I spent way too much time on that post for it not being what I meant ^.^'
the adamantine property I am talking about is the one you can find in the Dungeon Master's Guide and is the ability for an armor (any kind of armor) to negate critical hits. this is a uncommon property adding 500 gold pieces to the cost of your armor. for example, a plate armor with this property would be sold at 2000 gold pieces (roughly the price of 10 000 gallons of ale)(I have absolutely no idea of what a gallon is)(google says 37.85 cubic meters)
the ingame item called "Grymskull Helm" happen to share this property alongside with the one the "Adamantine Scale Mail" has but this is merely a coincidence
