Hello.

Are there plans to add more deity options for Clerics? It is neat - for instance - that elves can worship Selune, but it would be nice if they could also choose Sehanine Moonbow. Ditto for Hanali Celanil as an elf alternative to Sune.

I really hope they plan on adding more, at least a good selection of the non-human deities for non-human characters.

A huge +1 to this.

One thing maybe would be to not have the VAs saying which god your character worships? One of my characters is a half-elf and when he saw what happened on the nautiloid when you hit the "perfect" button he said something about Corellon. What if I don't worship him?

I do not know anything about this and can not confirm if they will add more Gods.
However I do hope they add more Cleric Domains and Gods.

That is the problem (YMMV) with games replete with voice acting: the voice acting. When it comes to voiced NPCs, it takes quite a bit of time and budget to account for the beefy amount of backgrounds - religious or otherwise - in a well-established setting such as The Forgotten Realms. Including demigods and non-Faerunian divine powers, I'd say there are at least sixty gods worshiped in the Realms.

The original Baldur's Gate games had an easier time with that sort of depth because most of the dialogue was written. The best we can hope for with Larian's offering is quality over quantity (i.e., fewer gods).

they said they would put all PHB subclasses into the game. So we still have knowledge, nature, tempest, and war domains that have not been added to the game.

We need at least new gods for the Tempest domain. Talos isn't really interesting though because his Clerics just want to destroy everything. And Umberlee is also evil. There should be some deity associated with winds, air and the elements. Freedom and such. Thunder is a force of nature and shouldn't be "evil only".

It's the big line between having a lot of choices and the reasonability of implementing the choices in a way that have an impact. I would like a lot of choices but the more choices we get the less viable it is to get little things like going "By [the correct deity]", regardless of whether all lines are voiced or not.

To be fair, "thunder" is one of those forces of nature that is kinda hard to put a non-destructive twist on, like volcanic eruptions or draughts. Even real life deities like Thor (who is the literal personification of thunder, that's what the name Thor means) it's used as a negative personality trait, for humour at best.

There are neutral or good deities like Akadi and Aerdrie Faenya (sp.?) who represent elemental air, winds and storms without being all about evil, sinking ships at sea or destroying the world. I have no idea about 5e lore though if they exist anymore or not. Maybe there are others too.

They still exist (or rather in Aerdrie's case exists again) in 5e. I think Shaundakul is also heavy on wind motif even if he's not directly a wind-related deity (he's more of a god of wanderers kind of deity).
