I've actually shot my fighter in the back of his head(no damage roll, just a check to not be staggered for the round) because of a crit miss. That same campaign we've had traps explode to disarm failures.

I prefer PF 1×rules myself but it is what it is. Always found it weird to not fail on a nat 1.
