I wouldn't necessarily want it darker either, but I would like to have of the giant rays of bright light removed again.
Exactly. I'm 44 so I'm not young. I'm not asking for them to turn the gamma way down and make the entire getting darker. I'm talking about how just about every dungeon in the game so far has beams of sunlight streaming down from above including a place that is supposed to be completely devoid of all light, such as the underdark. The reason dark elves live in the underdark is because they don't like the sun, but they are beams of light streaming in. It's not everywhere mind you no, but there are places oh, and it is just out of place.
As I said earlier in the thread, I can understand a few places in the game having sunlight streaming in like in the Dank Crypt, but every dungeon just about has sunlight. And as someone else pointed out a few posts back, there are torches lit in areas we're no humanoids live. You can make it so that it simulates total darkness without making it he completely black screen. Games like Pathfinder and Solasta do this. Other DND games have done this. I'm just wondering why bg3 isn't this way. The game overall just has too much sunlight everywhere.
Again, I'm not asking for the game as a whole to be darker. I agree that it is difficult to play a game where you can't see where you're going. But do we need these glaring sunlight light sources?
