Yesterday I tried to play BG3 but had to drop it because of crashes. Two type of crashes to be more precise :
1) During the fight with the gnolls, the biggest one ( the one with 50 +/- HP) is supposed to talk to you and you can control him with the tadpole and continue the fight with his help. In our case after I controled him with the tadpole and he became my ally but...so did all the other gnolls. And they went to kill the 2 survivors in the cave. After that they would all attack our party. The character that talked to him to begin with would be locked out of the fight. He can't get his turn at all making it a 3 vs 8 + the boss. It's super silly cause the first time I did the fight everything went well without this weird bug. But I have to redo that fight because of the crash that deleted all my save files after winning the fight.
2) Crash : It's weird and I don't know where to start describing it. After the gnoll fight we went to the burning mansion and decided to call it a day so I.....I ALT+F4 the game thinking we will be able to come back to our latest auto-save. It wasn't the case, all auto-saves got deleted and we had to redo the gnoll fight.
We tried but with the bugs described above we gave up on it and decided to return later on.
We went to the mansion again( since the save got deleted) saved everyone and went back to the city to sell our loot. I crashed when selling items to aunthie Etell in the druid grove. I tried to barter to get better prices for potions and it just crashed when giving her one of the books for free. The crash message said save files might have been damaged so I must verify the integrity of the game files. I did. BG3 updated himself so looks like he replaced some damaged files.
We restarted the game yet again. Now the game crashes whenever my friends tries to join the game.
I know the description above doesn't allow to solve the issue and let alone pin point what started it. It looks to me like several issues over time overlapped to create one giantic mess in the save file. I will just use a different save file and try again to play the game this evening.
However, can someone tell me where do I find the crash report + the save file related to that particular crash report so I can send it to Larian ? Like.... if there are issues with the newest patch I'm quite sure I had all of them in that single save file.
