Me and my g/f have the exact some copies, no mods of any kind. played only a couple times, same updates everything. Both got the game on steam. All of the sudden we can not connect multiplayer, we get the error "Wrong mod version"

When I invite her she joins the lobby for a second and is auto kicked with the message about the mods version. Again we are not using any mods. Any Help?

Either way, check that both `\Documents\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods` (if the directory exists) is empty, and that there are no folders in `\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data` (or similar install paths depending on platform) other than "Localization" on both of your machines.

In the launcher (or main menu), compare game versions to make sure you're both on the same version of the game.

Just checked both machines, mods folder is empty.

Only folder in the Data section was Localization.



It was working about 2 weeks ago, then y esterday we tried to play, got the update and now it doesnt work

Hey we just figured it out, I verified my files on Steam, and 1 file needed to be reaquired. Seems to be fixed now. And prior to doing this it was showing us on the same version in the title screen
