Fun to note that a lot of your restrictions are to not use larian's homebrew (or BG3s lack of rules).
Yes I generally don't make use of them, unless I feel like it. Having said that I understand why Larian is motivated to use them and respect their artistic license to do so.
Yeah I'm doing the same even if personnaly, I'd really like to use some of these homebrew.
In exemple dipping some arrows in fire and push ennemies in holes could be so cool !
I also avoid hiding too much and ambushing.
