As far as I know the mountain pass (the place where the gith are) and the "cultists of Tyr" (inside the abandoned toll house) have always been in the same place and were never taken out of EA.
What's more interesting is that with this patch we have a new animated sequence that sheds some light on who (or what) the Absolute might be...
