SInce the scene with the artifact, Shadowheart has no hands anymore. I tried changing gloves and putting off the gloves completely, reloaded, but nothing helps.
Has anyone else entcountered that? And maybe has a solution?

I heard that in the Middle Ages it was common practice for thieves to cut off their hands as punishment ...
Seems fair to me.

For Vlaakith!

Yep, I now have this problem with Wyll. It happened after a long rest. I have not triggered the scene with the artifact yet on this particular playthrough.

It happened after the artifact scene, but is now persistent in every save, even before that scene. I thought, that it is somehow tied to the artifact, but If it happens to other characters too, it has to be something else.

Is the character with the missing hands wearing the Tarnished Charm (Neck slot item, The one that gives you better death saves)?

Equipping that charm causes the character wearing it to have their arms disappear from the elbows down. It doesn't seem to actually affect them, but can potentially make some cutscenes kinda strange.

Tks that was the cause in my game. Removing it restores the characters hands, also had each other party member try it on and off and the same results.

That was indeed the problem - thank you Niara. I would never had guessed, that a necklace could cause arms to vanish. And the charm is quite dark, so I have overlooked it, when checking the character.

And yes, the romance scene with Shadowheart was unintentionally funny grin

Update: Astarion has hands now. Gale does not now. I have changed virtually nothing.

Hey Scales, please confirm that you've read this thread and check its solution - and that the Tarnished Charm is not the source of your issue.

I have missed that. He wears the amulet indeed. So the source of the bug is clear. smile

It's not a bug, it's a deliberate 'quirk' of the item. Never trust anything from a Hag, one might say.
