I don't want level caps. Doing all of the content should result in you being a slightly higher level (6 and 10 respectively for Acts 1 and 2) than "expected", and avoiding most of the sidequests should result you being a slightly lower level (4 and 8).
Personaly i would be quite okey with level caps as long we will be compensated for wasting XP oterwise ... by incerasing amount of Gold reward for example.
Since the magical items you get from side quests and alternative routes will create difference enough in my honest opinion
