i know that there are more complains about it out there, but i also wanted to show my displeasure not with the random replay but with the post...that will show them!!

1. the new feature dust/blood is horrible...cos it looks so clear on the new updated Nvidia video cards, when i spent long time customizing my character i want to enjoy him/her in the full glory... and not ALWAYS cover in some crap. i made similar topic on steam and one person had very good point, with so much water around one would think that they would wash themselves from time to time. please tone it down... or better yet make it optional, with so many QTEs looking at this top quality dirt over 100s of hours is probably worse than abundance of explosive barrels.

2. in one of the videos i remember Swen arguing that the idea of 4 close friends progressing to next chapter and leaving rest behind is like in real life...eeee f i n e. but is it also in real life when 4 friends go on adventure and DO NOT help each other? whoever triggers the encounter has to roll on it, why there is no option to get the most skillful companion to roll on it, it's like going to ethnic restaurant and the person who will be ordering is the one that first grabbed the menu not the one who can actually read it.

bonus complain... that was mentioned probably more times that i want to count....for the love of everything that is holy, remove that portrait chaining, at this point i'm convinced that you guys think this is greatest thing since sliced bread, spoiler alert.....it's not

+1 for sliced bread.
-1 for portrait chaining.

I played a little of Solasta recently, just for comparison, and the party select & control is definitely nicer, I think. You can put the whole party in sneak with one click and take them out of it in one click...yum.

Hopefully the UX team isn't firm on what they have so far.

I like the blood and such. The more HP you lose, the more like crap you look.

That said, could they tone it down? Meh. Maybe a bit. Someone else wrote a thread saying something about letting Tav use a hanky or something to at least wipe her face. 😁

As for only 4 companions moving on and leaving the rest behind, that would literally be the worst move they could make in this game. It ABSOLUTELY makes no sense. I don't care what way you slice it, they ALL have a ticking time bomb in their heads. NO one would say, "Ah yes. You guys go find a cure. I'll just wait here."

I want MORE companion options, not less. I want to be able to switch between Karlach and Halsin and Minsc and Jaheira... If they really are in it... And still play with Lae'zel and Shadowheart, etc.

And I want 6 party size so I can have even more travel together. For crying out loud, it makes no sense to travel with only 4 at a time. If I'm going up against a horde of goblins, I'm gonna bring as many people as I have available.

And I have also asked for companion switch during dialogues. Maybe not all, but where it makes sense to allow it. For example, at the door outside the crypt. You have several options. One is to deceive the guy that Gimblebock is hurt. If Astarion has better deceive it makes sense that he should be able to step up and take over.

Scenes that don't make sense are like with Ed, Brynna and Andrick. You're already engaged face to face. It'd be weird if someone else suddenly jumped in. But MANY scenes should allow companion switch. You're a party, not a solo adventurer.

Finally, toilet chain, as they call it. Harsh. Poor Larian. They probably get their feelings hurt by us all the time. Still, there's a megathread about it. Please add your voice. SO many don't like it or a lot of the move mechanics. And we have discussed UI at length also. Needs seriously cleaning up. One button. Stealth all while in Group mode. SO much easier.

It would be funny if someone made a mod to make your character look like Pigpen. laugh

+1 for Pigpen mod and a "dirty" toggle.

Short rest should clean the muck off. My understanding is that during a short rest your characters are peeing, having a brew-up and a sit-down, and cleaning their wounds - they should have a wipedown then.

Bruises are fine, I like my jaluk to look like they've been working hard.

I like the new dirt/blood feature a lot. To me, it really adds to the immersion that my character looks like she has been fighting, and that a low health is visible in bruises etc.
But an option to toggle it off for players who do not like it would be a good solution, I think.

see... i understand and respect your opinion, that's why i WANT it to be optional... i want my party looking good :), every time you meet any travelers they are clean, why is that? they were traveling same if not longer? why bother with perfect tattoos, hair, skin color when all will be covered with mud.... let me, and people like me have an option to be pretty... and who doesn't have their ways

there is this 4x game Age of Wonders, during map creation you can chose how many dwellings, resources, enemy random spawns...etc, etc... you can have, surly that wouldn't be too difficult to implement how much dirt you want on your body?
