Hi, I don't think there already is a thread about it (or if there is one I haven't found it) but I have a few concerns about Gale's personnal quest feasability and consistency. First, feasability : Gale needs to absorb magical artifacts, but not just any of them, he requests specific ones. Problem, we have no way to know which artifact would suits him before finding one and having the update notification of the quest. Here a few suggestions to help us not missing them, either :
- The items he can absord are distinguished by a specific color (like we already have "blue" for rare items and "green" for the uncommun ones), a specific name, adding a specfic icon or a specfic line in the description of the item (e.g. "A lot of Weave radiates from it"), well, anything that could allow us to recognise those special artifacts when we meet them;
- Gale gives us the list of the items he can absorb;
- The list of the items is already written in his personnal quest summary;
- When Gale is in the party he hails us when we are approaching the location of an artifact ("I can fell a powerful magic.", "One of the artifact I am looking for is close.") If you have other suggestions, feel free to add them. All that to say that, if the quest remains as it is, I don't see how any player will be able to succeed without a guide. Then, consistency : - When completing the "in case of death protocol" after Gale told us his story: once he is revived and that we talk to him, there should be a switch in his dialogue or at least a new option for the answer because right now he is just like "I can't tell you why he needed te be revived, but thank you, you saved us all" -> dude, we already know that there is a bomb in your chest that could erase a whole city if you died, so quit the act.
- The necromancy book of Thay. This one is probably rather a bug, but: I kept the necromancy book of Thay for myself, I red it so it is linked to my character, but Gale keeps asking me to give it to him and my only possible answer is "I don't want to get rid of one of my artifacts right now.", I should be able to tell him that I can't give it to him even though I would like to, or he shouldn't ask. In the same spirit, when I talk to him after havind red the book I have the option "I have an artifact that could interest you" but I still can't give it to him, so this option shouldn't appear.
- After Gale told us that he no longer require magical artifacts we can still absorb the Necromancy book of Thay (I haven't done the test with the others but I guess it will also work). It doesn't make sense! Why absorbing it if he doesn't need it? There is nothing in the dialogue that explain it, it is just the exact same scene that if we feed him when he asked it.
- We don't get his disapproval when he explains that he no longer needs artifacts. We don't know yet how he did that but both his face and his voice show that he is irritaded. We should lose approval, after all, we failed him.
There might be other inconstitencies, those are just the few I have noticed and that really get me out of the game , like "What's happening?".
