We have also suggested previously, and I REALLY want this, the ability to change characters so that if Wyll, for example, has better persuasion, he can take the lead when the time comes to persuade someone, or Gale could be switched in if he has better Arcana, or whatever. There should naturally be times when this is restricted, but more often than not you should be able to switch characters during dialogues.
Example: "Is that you Gimblebock?"
Rogue with +5 Deception switches in. "Gimblebock is hurt. Quick. Open the door.". Instead of Lae'zel who you had leading with her -1.
