Hi there,

I played the early access when it came out in 2020 and I could easily complete it with a minimum number of crashes. Given I was playing on a intel 6700K Skylake with 32 Gigs of RAM and a RTX 2080 Super, coupled with a Samsung 960 Evo, Win 10 Patch 3 and Patch 4. I could complete the early access content on 4K.
Right now I'm on a 5900x and an RTX 3080, 64 Gigs of RAM, WD_BLACK PCIe 4.0 drive, Win 10. Patch 7 and I keep getting crashes. \
First I got a crash right after beating the Mindflayer ship. Just as the cutscene ended I got a crash. I was fine with it and gone back to my custom save. Beat the part again and skipped the cutscene. Following that I got into the early catacombs (btw. I couldn't find Shadowheart on the ground or in front of the dungeon door) and right after beating a couple of enemies my game kept crashing, while trying to pickup things or while moving around the catacombs. The last custom save that I did in the catacombs just greeted me with a crash every time I tried to load it. I still have it, if anyone wants to take a look.

Fair enough, I thought, maybe the save got corrupted so I started all over again with the same barbarian character. I kept making custom saves every now and then (I had no more than 4) and now I got a save that simply crashes on me reliably when I try to save La'zel from the Teiflings.
Can anyone please tell me that something is wrong with the save system?

I'm going to try and revisit my autosaves and see if the problem goes away, but I seem to detect a pattern here.

Edit: Nope, game still crashes at the same spot when I tried to load from an autosave.

Edit 2: Today, I'm going to try and convince GOG to move my game to a different drive. I got a SATA Samsung 870 that I can spare for this experiment. Maybe the PCIe 4.0 WD_BLACK doesn't play ball with this game (although it seems to be working well with games such as: Cyberpunk 2077, Wasteland 3, Phoenix Point, etc.).

I just noticed today that the crash seems to happen when the game is loading a new model while panning the screen in certain areas of the fame or when I manipulate items in the game. I could be wrong though.

Edit 3: Well, it turns out moving the game to a different drive. Trying to avoid picking up the dual handed flaming sword from the devil (the one that is sparing with the Mindflayer captain on the falling ship) or playing on different graphics settings didn't fix this problem. I sent in like 4 reports in a row.
