I get it that Arabellas mother is desperate, but did you realized that she just entrusted the fate of her only(?) child to a FREAKING DROW???!
You'd think. But most npcs get over it real quick when playing as a drow or gith should be akin to playing a nosferatu in the VTM: Bloodlines game from Troika.

For an example of how weird it is how fast npcs move past it (if they notice at all) If you punch Zevlor and choose aggressive options he'll act super aggressive and racist towards you as a drow.....and then immediately brush it off and tell you that he'll get the word out that you are a good guy and he'll tell everyone to treat you like a normal person. Like Larian really wanted to preclude the very obvious possibility that you'd logically not be welcome in the grove if you pulled that as a drow and so just brushed it off.

It's better than a lot of games in regard to recognizing the character is a drow (NWN2 and IWD2 barely mattered at all), and it has gotten better in a few instances, like where the flaming fist naturally freak out when approached by a drow where they didn't before. But it still gets a bit nonsensical. Getting warned by a companion about getting intimate with Minthara is a bit funny as a drow, and Halsin doesn't seem to acknowledge the player being one despite knowing the drow are involved in the mindflayer business he's trying to put a stop to. To name a few.
