on the screen where you can select race and class and such when creating your character it might be nice to have a little preview as to your options after level one (maybe up to level 4) to help in deciding what you want to play. When playing D&D you have the players handbook that gives you an idea of class features traits and options so you can decide if you wan to play that class, and I honestly would just use that as a reference when deciding, but alas Larian is only giving each class two subclasses per class (some having multiple features to choose from with in that subclass) as of yet. So, as a person who has tried every class so far (and multiple of some classes to try out the other subclass and features) and quit playing some of the classes because they wound up not offering the subclass(es) I would be keen to play... I think this feature would be nice for new players. I know for me personally it would have spared me from wasting the time to play certain classes.

+1 to the OP

One thing I also liked that Solasta did was provide druids with a list of future animals you will be able to wild shape into at higher levels. This lets you know what you're working towards. That'd be nice too, at least to see somewhere.

At character creation, we should be able to view the *full* perk and class feature list of what the class gets all the way up to the level cap for the game.
We should be able to see what subclasses exist, and when we get to pick them.
We should be able to see what each of these subclasses do.

This can be done without cluttering or drowning the screen - most of D&D video games that use one of the core rulesets (that is, not counting D&D setting derivative games that don't actually use the rule system, but are just video games in the setting) have done this, for good reason, and it's not a taxing request. Older games than this have managed it perfectly well, and 5e has substantially less technical information to display than earlier editions.

This would be useful up, in a pop-up maybe to reduce screen clutter. I think that would a better experience than having to alt-tab out to find out what's what.

In the "Gold Box" days, the game manual had all of this......

This feature (previewing, at character creation, what a class offers) has been requesting many times.

If requesting it again and again has any chance to have an impact in any way (addition to Larian's internal to-do list, re-ordering of said to-do list, or a communication by Larian of the fact that this is already planned and that this feedback/request is being counter-productive since it dilutes the potentially more valuable feedback posted in this forum section), and if the numbers of requests are to be somehow taken into consideration (two big if's), then please count me as wanting this feature as well.

(I mean ... count me in even if it's completely useless.)

LOL...was just thinking this.

We have three classes to go (Palidin, Bard, and Monk) plus multi-class.

After that they could make one. If not, building a class from notes is part of the fun.

Not to mention certain class features that are missing from rogues also effect the yet to be introduced bard class, specifically expertise feature.

Would love to see Monk class. I beat Neverwinter Nights with monk 1st time playthrough and had a blast.

Class preview is one of the biggest Q&A improvements I have seen in recent RPGs (PoE2, Pathfinder, Solasta). While 5e seems straightforward I hope Larian will add it ESPECIALLY with dualclassing - being able to see up-and-downsides of multiclassing is of utmost importance.
