I checked the 5E Monster Manual this morn', and to my surprise, no Leprechauns! You do see Pixies, to be sure, but no such luck for the true Leprechauns. Ah, what a loss for story potential! Larian, you pay no mind to the manual, go right on and use bonnie Leprechauns if it pleases you to do so.

They used to be core monsters (i.e., part of the Monstrous Manual) back in 2e.

I'd lke to know the rational for removing them. I mean, sure they aren't monsters, but niether are pixies, sprites, brownies, and a host of other fae. Being such as these make for good stories. They can make things far more interesting then just throwing another troll at a party.
