@Ube
It's not THE illegal version.
It's just something I have here. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

@Tsel
I like the instrumental parts on the extended version.

um... You know Vampires by Radio Rama? (the first one that came to my mind from that period)
I also have the extended version of that one. The extra's on an extended version can ruin or make a song.
Those extended versions ware great to play in a disco. To mix and mess around with.
I loved extended versions. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Another great one was Shout by Tears for Fears fi.

Seth, the only thing I knew about Sisters when I bought FaLaA and Floodband was that they where supposed to be The goth band. Nothing more. No songs, nothing.

Wish I could say the same (wink wink).

Edit: just have to say that it feels great to be born in an age so when you're a teenager all the good bands were peaking twenty years ago. Wish there were bands like Sisters of Mercy, Cure (not Cure now, but Cure twenty (cought five cough) years ago and others). Apart form Interpol, there aren't really any bands I like today <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />.

Shoot, don't make me dig through my 80's 12" vinyl dance song single albums.
Now there’s some extended version songs for you. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />
I used to D.J. for a club in the 80's. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Tsel, I used to be bold and pee in my pants in the 80's <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />.

Sort of wish I was born 25 years earlier than I was... When I do, I (try to) focus on the fact that I would be 42, and have a wonderfull gaeing with backproblems and boldness (again...) to look forward to...

And how you think I know those... my colleague?
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

One thing that always worked for me was starting with that life version of the Jacksons (put the base up high so it's going through their bones) Can you feel it... Can you feel it...
And then mix Depeche Mode (just can't get enough - live) or halfway through Temple of love extended version or Shout (12" version - when that guitar starts) in. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
O... another one for that... Talking heads: burning down the house.

All my 12" and albums are up in the attic now. Hundreds. I just remember them when you guys mention them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Memories... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohh.gif" alt="" />
O, hey... another one. Ram Jam: Black Betty

I liked to crank up the Bass too and start the show off with a sound bite saying, “It is useless to resist us”.
Then I would kick it in with ‘Dead or Alive’ “Something in My House”.
The hard heavy drum beat intro version followed by thunder and maniacal laughter.
After that song came Bronski Beat “Hit that perfect beat”. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Wow, memories. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Aye, nice

And Dead or Alive... that 12" of you spin me round was just... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
Another one of those I "forgot". <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
Come to think of it... Remember Blue Pearl EP? - naked in the rain? *shivers*

@Ube
I forgot to say in my previous post.
You mentioned the Clash.
There's a great double CD.
"The Story Of THE CLASH"
On that one are all:
The magnificent seven, rock the casbah, should I stay or should I go, London's burning, London calling, ... even police & thieves.

The only Clash song I know (and for the moment, the only Clash song I whant to know) is Should I Stay or Should I go. So, I'm not shure where you got THAT from...

Still wish I had that live verision of Temple of Love (WHINK WHINK)...

Sonata Arctica - Land of the Free

I think their Silence album is more Helloween-ish than the others. Of course, whereas I always respected Helloween, I liked only "I Want Out" (and the SA cover is better than the original for me) and "Eagles Fly Free".

Sonata Arctica - The Ruins of my life

I mostly listen to Winterheart's Guild. Kinda has a more modern feel to it which I like alot. Reckoning Night is pretty good too, thanks to "Don't say a word" and "White Pearl Black Ocean"

I like "Wildfire" and "The Boy Who Wanted to Be A Puppet". Listening to SA's "Last Drop Falls" now, by the way.

Wildfire is good at the start, but in the end it starts sounding pretty weird. Wolf and Raven really is awesome, listening to it now.

True. Wolf & Raven is great but Wildfire is better <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. I just love the start. The song itself is good, but the beginning is unforgettable for me. Hah! Winamp just switched to Wolf & Raven, what a coincidence!

BTW, congrats on the 300000th post in Chat (Anything).
