With the release of Barbarian, its time to fix your "Special attacks" approach to Weapon Attack modifiers (e.g. Sneak Attack)

Barbarian Rage damage bonus is applied automatically on attacks that meet the criteria. Granted its probably easier to implement since its a flat damage bonus, BUT this is how it should be for other modifiers. Namely Sneak Attack. Only reason to dual wield a Rogue is to get another shot at applying sneak attack or possibly poison. As it currently stands, Sneak Attack is a gamble for that play style, Since you are gambling if you will hit when you choose to use it.

They finally fixed offhand attack to not have ability modifier without the feature. Setting aside the obvious ridiculousness they added to compensate Thief's and Rogue's for losing most of their unique bonus actions. 2 Offhand attacks? Laughable.

The bigger offender in my mind is that thrown weapons cant benefit from Sneak Attack, nor the ability to bonus action throw an offhand throwable weapon. Sure I guess since melee and range weapons are interchangeable for free, you could just range weapon sneak attack, but that take away player agency and some ROLEPLAYING avenues in a goddamn ROLEPLAYING GAME.
